Vienna's Lost Daughters

Compelling stories of those who survived the Holocaust through the Kindertransport
I've always been interested in the Holocaust, an interest that grew during my college days and later when I taught the subject at high school. My interest was piqued when I saw this documentary featuring the stories of a group of Viennese women who had survived the Holocaust by being put on the Kindertransport to England when they were children.

Each of these women has a compelling backstory but what comes across clearly is their fortitude and ability to move on with their lives. There is no wallowing in self-pity, bitterness, or hatred, but a shining determination to make the best of the lives they have.

These women were young children (some were a bit older) when their parents made the heartbreaking decision to send them away to safety via the Kindertransport, which made it possible for Jewish children to escape the horrors of the Holocaust. Many of them would never see their parents or other family members again, losing them to the Nazi murderers...

More -- lest we forget
Interesting but would've like more detailed info on each person, thus 4 not 5 stars. I would appreciate more such.

very moving
I very much enjoyed listening to these ladies tales of the war. I highly recommend it. These women are amazing.
