Matlock: The Ninth & Final Season

MATLOCK SEASON NINE - JULY 16, 2013
With good quality programming getting harder and harder to find on television these days, it's always a piece of good news for consumers when studios announce they are releasing to DVD another season of a great television series, particularly for those looking for those shows that are free of graphic violence and heavy language. For those who have been collecting the MATLOCK series which ran for nine long and successful years (starring Andy Griffith as the easy going Southern country lawyer/defense attorney "Ben Matlock"), the studio is gifting fans with the final season on July 16, 2013. So complete your trip (and collection) down memory lane with this final season release of this classic courtroom drama (and some occasional humor blended in!). As there is no episode listing, I have included them below with a brief summary. Here is what we can look forward to with this DVD release:

Finally able to complete the set
Over the last few years I'm been acquiring the Matlock series either by pre-order or shortly after they came out. It's a great classic courtroom drama series (Perry Mason seasons are also - and the final season of that comes out soon). Both of these courtroom drama series are from times when TV had shows with "G" ratings and relied on good acting and good plots rather than most of the violent, sexual and political agendas of today's shows most of which are rated TV-14 or higher - not exactly wholesome viewing

Great set
The set matches the previous sets. The only complaint I have is not against the product itself but rather the TV executives of the time. What would be the final episode is a pathetic end to a fantastic series.
