Moon Man

oddly wonderful!
My grandchildren asked me to rent this for them. They were very excited to share it with me, as I'd told them I'd never heard of it. It is different than any of the other bedtime story type books/videos we have read or watched. They were so right about this book/movie. It is full of wonder from a child's eyes. We have watched it three times so far. We will most likely purchase it for our next sleepover so we can have it any time we want.

a really enjoyable, imaginative romp in child-likeness
I found it to be a really creative, enjoyable, sometimes goofy and strange (rather along the lines of the Beatles' Yellow Submarine) but always with a lot of sweetness and creativity. It strikes a wonderful balance between a classic, comfortable fairy-tale, warm science fiction struggle between good and evil that kids will love and will delite the kid in all of us, with a genuinely interesting and challenging artistic style that challenges.

Also, it has one the best (non-explicit) depictions of sex I've ever seen I've ever seen in any artistic medium, ever. A polar bear looking uncomfortable while tossing a rubber dusk back and forth is involved.

Cute film, but watching it once is enough.
As an indie animated film, I thought this was a nice piece of work, visually, but it wasn't very engaging.
